Spell out scope and usage
A good agreement says what's included and what would need another talk.
What to cover
Keep it short and concrete.
- Hours, deliverables and how many rounds of edits.
- Travel, overtime, cancelling and rescheduling.
- Where the photos can be used, for how long, and who approves.
- What the client brings and what counts as extra work.
Working for free or TFP
Say plainly what each person gives and gets, and who covers costs. TFP doesn't mean the photos can be used anywhere.
When things change
Put changes in a new version of the agreement and both accept it before work continues. That way everyone knows which terms apply.
